Looking to refresh the classic Air Force 1 silhouette, Nike Sportswear launched the “The 1 Reimagined” project and asked 14 female designers to rework the hi-top’s iconic 1980s look by giving the silhouette their own respective takes. Debuting in February 2018, the ‘Air Force 1 Lover’ is a pared-down, slip-on design that boasts a nubuck upper, velvet accents and iridescent perforations. Completing the look are a stacked rubber platform sole and Swoosh branding on the heel and insoles.
